We’re happy to offer private interactive wine experiences for you and yours, hosted by our crack team of Wine Specialists. We’ll connect with you via Zoom and lead you on a lively and engaging tasting of our most beloved varieties.
Our tasting kits include 4 wines – in half-bottles for groups of two – and 750mL’s for four to six tasters. With a purchase of 7 or more bottles, you'll receive $25 ground shipping within California, $30 to other states, shipping discount automatically applied. Interactive Tasting appointments are available Thursdays 3pm PST, with additional times available by request. Request your appointment below, or for questions, please reach out to us at interactive@frogsleap.com or ring 707-963-4704.
To ensure your wines arrive prior to your tasting, a minimum of 10 business days is needed prior to your requested tasting.
Once your wines are en route, we’ll schedule and coordinate your interactive tasting via Zoom, and ensure that all participants receive their tasting kit in advance.
Oh, and there’s never a charge for an Interactive Tasting with us.

Session Thirteen :: The Story of Frog's Leap: Part Two

Join John & Rory Williams as the continue to tell the tall tale of the founding of Frog's Leap. A continuation of our previous session where they reminisced on Frog's Leap's early years, in this session expect a couple of guest appearances to taste along, share stories and photos from the most recent chapters of the Frog's Leap story. (Oh, and it's John's birthday week too, so surely we'll raise a glass to honor the 50th anniversary of his childhood with some of his choice vintages!)
This session features John's personal selects: 1992 Zinfandel, 2012 Zinfandel. 2007 Rutherford will be tasted and is available in magnum format only, so snag all three of these rarities, grab a friend and join us!
Session Twelve :: The Story of Frog's Leap: Part One

John Williams, owner/founder/winemaker has always said "never spoil a good story with the facts", so join him and Rory his son and winemaker as they share the tall tale of the founding of Frog's Leap. Together, we'll take a spin through the five decades of history, from when Frog's Leap was just a twinkle in John's eye to present day. We'll take Q&A all along the way!
Reminisce with us by joining the tasting -- and support local! For this session we ask that you go to your favorite local Frog's Leap purveyor - bottle shop, grocery, or restaurant take-out - and snag a Frog's Leap bottle of your choosing. If they don't have Frog's Leap, please give them a proper scolding!
Session Eleven :: Cabernet Sauvignon: From Bud to Bottle

As Frog's Leap's fortieth growing season is well underway, join John and Rory to talk growing Cabernet Sauvignon grapes in Rutherford, their philosophies and methods from bud to bottle to produce Cabernet Sauvignon in the Frog's Leap signature style: with bright, high-toned acid, deep earthen flavors and the restrained alcohol that promises each vintage will not only be beautiful in its youth, it will stand the test of time.
This session features two Frog's Leap library releases: 2008 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2014 Estate Grown Cabernet Sauvignon.

Session Eight :: Sustainability & Stewardship

With John and Rory, explore what sustainability means to Frog's Leap - in the vineyard, at the winery and beyond, and how these principles have been woven into the fabric of Frog's Leap since our founding in 1981. This session features a tasting of two Zinfandels from the 2010 and 2017 vintages, including a small-lot winery exclusive, that provided lasting lessons on the stewardship of our vineyards, and has shaped our opinion on climate resilience in the Napa Valley.
Session Seven :: Merlot Retrospective

This session featured a three-decade retrospective tasting of Merlot: 2003 Merlot alongside winery exclusive, single-vineyard expression 2013 Merlot - Rossi Vineyard 'Ray's Block', and 1993 Merlot, the 4th vintage of Merlot produced by Frog's Leap and still very much a charmer these years on, just a few bottles remain, snag yours here.
Session Six :: Wine As Part of a Joyful Life with Guest Appearance by Eric Asimov, New York Times Wine Critic

In this session, John and Rory are joined by friend, author & New York Times Wine Critic Eric Asimov, together they tackled some age-old questions, like, when to drink a particular wine, and what to serve with it. Frog’s Leap has embodied the notion that wine is a part of a joyful life – Eric has cleverly explored this in his book How to Love Wine: A Memoir and Manifesto, sharing with his readers how to fearlessly develop a sense of discovery and wonder while enjoying the diversity and complexity of the world of wine.
In the first half, John and Rory lead a tasting of 2018 Chardonnay 'Shale & Stone' and winery-exclusive 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Chavez Leeds Vineyard, South Block, Eric joins the conversation in the second half.
Session Five :: Organic Farming: Thinking Like a Vine

John and Rory shared the early history of Frog's Leap's commitment to farm organically and without irrigation, our influences and mentors, and how our actions align with the natural interests of the vines themselves. With boots in the Red Barn vineyard soil, together we tasted two small lot, single-vineyard expressions: 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Red Barn Vineyard Office Block and 2014 Merlot Red Barn Vineyard 110R.
Before viewing, John recommends checking out The Biggest Little Farm, a 2018 documentary film that follows a couple's journey to trade city living for 200 acres of barren California farmland and a dream to harvest in harmony with nature. Session Three :: Zinfandels

This session featured the current release 2018 Zinfandel, tasted alongside the 2014 vintage and a retrospective of the 1991 vintage -- listen along to discover how this nearly 30-year-old Napa Valley Zinfandel is tasting now. Spoiler alert: it showed well, and you can still snag a bottle here. This recording is audio-only, due to an unforeseen technical difficulty. So this might just end up being your most favorite unintentional podcast.
Session Two :: Sauvignon Blancs

We also shared a few images on-screen: the concrete egg used for Rachel Rossi Reserve fermentations, and our old-vine Sauvignon Blanc destined for Rachel Rossi Reserve.
